When growing up just outside Washington, D.C. in 1971, I picked up this ball from a field in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I placed it in a box where it has sat all these years.

Maker’s mark appears to contain “___ Special,” “County,” and “Crown.” Wonder if anyone has an idea its manufacturer.

As seen in photos, ball has two cracks, one on each side. The stitching is still in good condition.
