    I think it’s a hat pin. But it seems kinda of small to be one. There’s lettering on the back. I had a really hard time trying to get a photo of it. I think it says Terline? The last half of the word is very faded out. I’m also curious about the stone & material in it. Would love to know what you think. :)

      @nutsabotsa6 abalone!! I recognized it but for the life of me remember what it was called! Haha, I should of caught that one, terline - sterling. Whats the clue to recognizing mother of pearl?

      @nutsabots6, I’m still learning to tell the difference between the two, unless it’s blatantly obvious. Do you think it’s a hat pin? I’m not sure what else it would be. But it’s awfully small.

      It's a stick pin. It was originally used by wealthy Englishmen as a pin to hold the folds of their cravats.
