Surely you have heard of the nursery rhyme! Well, McCoy decided to make a line dedicated to the little runts, thus giving us the Nursery Line. Started in the late 30s, planters of various baby objects and scenes were the theme. These were pretty popular.... (At least in pink and blue) The Ba-Ba Black Sheep was released in I believe 1939 or early 1940. These came in various colors, and of course, with the name of the rhyme, they made a black one. White and Yellow were also made. This has an NM uSA mark, and is relatively scarce. I have not found one yet to this date, but I have found a different sheep planter from the same period that also had an NM uSA mark that was black at the Dewey Street Market.

Thanks for looking at this neat piece!

Love how the first half of the rhyme line is on the black sheep, the rest on the pink sheep. These are lovely planters - Jenni
