27"x19" , 1937 Embossed Coca Cola sign with Christmas 1923 bottle. Mint condition. Purchased off Ebay from RC Media Collectibles. It is my first Coca Cola sign, and just wanted to do my homework and see what you guys thought about it/ authenticity. Also wanted to see if anyone knew anymore about this type of sign. Thanks!

Jennifer , nice coke sign . Looks real to me . The only think I would wonder about is the maker stamp is some what différant from signs I have from that same time frame . The thing that stands out is there is no period between the works and inc . So if you could find a picture of another sign to compare .
I agree with purvis, nice authentic sign. Scarce version. If you plan to buy more old Coca-Cola signs, get yourself a copy of Petretti's 12th Edition Guide so you have a point of reference for price. Some eBay sellers have very high "buy it now" prices, relative to value, and don't mind gouging. This is a good place to check if you aren't sure, you'll get some good advice. Good luck!

A couple of things Jennifer ....beware of any porchlain signs from India. You must get the reference book above. Compare compare and compare. Get to know trademark dates and such. Read if you haven't already the info at the beginning of the guide explaining collecting and its pitfalls. Armed with knowledge you will thrilled with the hunt you venture out on. Heck I learn something everyday on this wonderful community . There are great people on here with the same interest. It's helped me a great deal over many years. Ok enough.
