Here's one more kinda Easter-themed thing (I guess) since "The Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel's Messiah is often trotted out and performed around Eastertime, as well as X-mas. These are 3 copies of two different editions (by 2 different publishers) of Handel's masterwork oratorio, which he composed in 1741 and which was first performed in 1742.

On the left is a single edition published by CARL FISCHER INC. of New York 3 [Boston, Chicago, Dallas] with copyright date MCMXLVII. (1947) Its paper cover is well worn and detached (with the title page) from the volume itself and the back paper cover is missing, otherwise I believe it is complete.

On the right are two copies published by G. SCHIRMER of New York/London with original copyright date of 1912, both also marked as "Ed[ition] 38". I don't offhand know how to translate that into a more exact 'printing date', but would have to guess both these books are 1960's or newer, if only because of their better overall condition and the fact that (at least nearly?) identical versions of these are still available today.

For additional giggles, here's one of my all-time mostest-favorite interpretations of the Hallelujah Chorus, as first performed a decade or so ago by The Turtle Creek Chorale (Dallas, TX, USA) and now preserved for the ages on YouTube...
