Again these photographs were taken at the Flea Market, because the sellers needed to find out more about it, before they would sell.
The Bracelet looks to be Silver, Coin, or Sterling, I don't know. It all looks hand made by a Craftsman, with different parts, soldered together, not cast, and I think the stone is Picture Jasper, but not sure about that either. It's marked on the back, with the letters G L A T scratched in, a makers mark, or just the owners mark?
Thank you for looking, and any help with identifying this Bracelet, or comments, are appreciated! :^)
Most Native American pieces are stamped by the craftsman. My Mother collected this type of jewelry and I just checked a piece I remembered that was not stamped but "scratched in".
"Carlos White Feather" so with a little digging and someone more experienced in these pieces you might get an answer. I was told pieces with No mark are "Old Pawn" and they were given in payment of a debt. That could be what you're looking at with the owners name "scratched in"
( I really don't understand why an owner would defile a piece with their name???)
Ugh...I'm no help, sorry Bill

Hello Bill - this jasper might be petrified wood or dinosaur poop. I have 3 Native American items like this....give me awhile and I'll post them for you to look at. I think this is a 70's-80's bracelet made "assembly line style". I also have scratched signed sterling items. I don't know what that means. I think Canyon Road will now. It's possible that the central motif is an older setting. XOXO - I'm your #1 Mary? LOL
Sorry, meant to add Picture jasper is a combination of pretty sand, blue and green colors. Red jaspers are usually poppy, red or tiger iron...but I'm leaning towards dino poop....
Thank you my #1! ! ! :^D I printed out these pages, and will show the Seller at the Flea Market on Sunday. I do like this, but don't know if they will want more then I am willing to pay! Maybe if I hit a Lottery Scratcher! :^)
