    Curious & have questions (see below). These are fairly similar chairs with some differences, one on left found a few months ago way east of Pittsburgh (Murraysville area), one on right (lighter) found this past week way west of Pittsburgh (Beaver County). I haven’t found ANY pics or listings online of chairs like these, that is, same pattern. QUESTIONS: Anyone seen this exact form/pattern before? Is it unique to western PA? Would you say 1840’s? Do you like them? THANKS.

      More like 1940's than 1840's.

      I agree with PhilDMorris if these were 1840's they would be slab seat chairs. These are modern.

      Interesting! Thanks. They look so crude that’s why I thought maybe earlier. So I’m replacing 2 pics with pics of this other chair I have ... is this a “slab seat” or is this later too? THANKS!!!
