The young lady I purchased this from stated it was from the 1820s. I'm curious. It is VERY heavy and the top handles have replaced something that was a square. I'm not really sure. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Pix of joints, such as dovetails help. I'm lousy at it, but we have people on CW who can tell.

      Classic American Empire!

I'd say 1820 is a little early on this. I'd put it in about 1850- 60.

Also, you may want to update your photos and shift your last photo to the front (and adjust the orientation).

You will get a lot more views with the full dresser view vice the drawer bottom board.

Thank you all, I don't see dovetail, just wood to wood. There are no rollers, no dovetails, nothing but slits in the wood to help slide the drawers into place.

The 1850 to 1899 Empires look so close to this! Thank you all again for your guidance and info.
