    Don't need appraisal, just want to know what this tool is used for. Some have said a leather cutting tool but there are no sharp edges.

      Growing tool, do happen to know how it is used, and it is used on the leather.

      Sorry, I meant possibly a leather grooving tool. I do not know how it is used. I hope you find out what it is.

      Could also be used for scribing a mark around furniture edges & such.

      Maybe a hot pan or tray lifter. Can adjust to height of pan.

      Thank you so much for your input. Threw research I believe it is a early years leather working tool called a Clam. They do alot different now days. Has been interesting doing the research to say the least. Once again Thank You

      I have see my printer use this tool to select a certain number of paper sheets. For instance, he wants 250 sheets so rather than count out same each time he sets this gauge to a 250 stack height. Then he inserts the tool into the stack and gets the 250 sheets. Not 100% accurate, but easier than counting out each time.
