    I purchased this nice little statue but can't make out the mark. Any help would be great. what time period is it from. Seems ver MCM.

      Could firdst three letters be IRE? (land)
      She's standing on stone. If I follow the Ireland guess, could be Connemara marble. I found some samples with green, black spots. But not sure.
      Two women praying together, or Madonna praying towards us. Or...the rantings of a mad, tired and hungry woman - who keeps screwing up a recipe...blah blah

      I think you are on to something. I was looking Irish statues just now and encountered a lot of metal sculptures representing the famine. I'm doing research as we speak. People here are so amazing! I couldn't do what I do without you guys.

      Also has a very MCM look to it. So I'll try that avenue as well with the keywords you provided.
