Could it have Native American origins? This chair holds so many mysteries for me, please help
me unlock them! This pyrography chair was passed down from an elderly Native American couple in West Tennessee to my friend's family in the 70s. The couple is said to have described it at the time as "very old". But, to date, I have been unable to confirm if this is actually Native American in origin, or common folk art pyrography. Knowing that the couple was passing along their most treasured possessions at the time, I feel certain it has an amazing story! Can anyone help shed light on its' origins, can you help date it?

It sure looks old possibly Cherokee since they covered most of the Appalachia.
