This a double strand crystal necklace I have had for a while and don't know what to do with it. It looks like if someone has tryed to dye it pink which I think looks weird. Don't know how to get it off without damaging the stone. Maybe I should just take it apart and use the best beads for something else?
Love these faceted crystals!
You can try to let them soak in pure alcohol or aceton if no result :-)
I certainly don’t want to give bad advice, as I cannot tell if these are stained or they were pink to begin with, maybe with a AB coating, and, over time, the color has deteriorated. Have you tried a soft tooth brush, or as a last resort, try soaking the beads for a short time and then taken the brush to them? The facets are beautiful, I would try to bring this necklace back to it’s former glory, if possible.
Thank you Ms.ChrystalShip. Don't worry I always take full responsibility when I try new methods :) after all we can only see each others jewelry on photos, so...
Thank you for your advice. It sounds good and logical. This is one of the necklaces waiting for tlc. Now it is closer in line :)
All good advice Elisabeth. I would probably take it apart for projects if I had another perfect necklace. I like working with these graduated round beads.
