Found in Norway and seem to be still functional.
I could not find any historical information about this on the Internet.

These were made at some point after 1910. They were sold all over the world. They were a five and dime store item and everyone had them even in the 1950's. You can find them on all the auction sites. Asking prices are way high and you therefore see very few if any sell.
