    Hi
Found this weird tool while going a bit overboard with Boiled Linseed Oil, cleaning out old barn debris last week. Wooden handle, with a taper at the top for this bamboo part to spin around. Made in Taiwan NOC stamped into the metal plate that is molded to fit the handle.
It had a label at some point, based on the lighter patch on the handle.
The bamboo strip spins freely. Wondering what it is.
    Thanks for any ideas

I have no idea what it is, however, it isn't quite an antique yet. The Made In Taiwan NOC is a country of origin mark. That tells us it was made and imported after the tariff act (which was 1930's). I don't recall the year they dropped the NOC.

On another note, it is nice to see someone else who knows the value of boiled linseed oil on old wood. You are doing yourself and the item a big favor using it.
