I think this cap is from the late 1970s but I am not quite sure. So Cody is still wearing his pooka shells from 2 weeks ago. Soon as I figure it out for certain I can do a time period correct uniform with the cap.
This is not your usual baseball style cap with the plastic strap on the back. The material is a bit thinner perhaps a cotton polyester blend. It has vent holes on each side. And more importantly it has an adjustable cloth strap in the back. This is less likely to cause people's head to explode when the cap is worn backwards. I have a feeling these were official for a very short time as they are rare.
Got this Cub Scout Neckerchief and the BSA Neckerchief slider along with the cap. You can never have too many sliders.
I thought initially BSA British Small Arms for the slider. The doh! moment was quick though.
Cody would never wear his cap backwards!!
