    Metal detecting find in my backyard. 1st target 1st hole. Looks like a skeleton key of some type. Just trying to figure out what it may have looked like originally and what it may have unlocked.

      Looks like a bottle opener not a key.

      Tried to use it as a bottle opener doesn't work, too small and the angle is wrong.

      Doesn't look like any kind of a key to me. Looks like a turn valve for an old petcock. The wear on it is right.
