While this sort of (general) folding ruler is still currently available, this one ain't the same due to its age and overall quality. (I have a couple of the newer ones too, so can testify?!) I would guess this one to be 1950's or so, but don't really know for sure.
It unfolds to a full six feet long, one end with a foldable hook and the other featuring an extendable 6" extension. (or depth measure) The hinge hardware is made of steel, other hardware on it and the extendable section are of brass.
