VERY COOL Sonola, Bill -- and it looks like its in great shape!! Don't worry too much about its motor, I'd guess it might more be needing a good cleaning and oiling vs. replacement, maybe new rubber bushings if it has them, I'd look for that first, at least?! They are supposed to make a certain amount of background noise which is inherent with any little electric fan trapped inside a small box, but actually playing it (unlike the you-tuber who simply pokes buttons/keys) should drown that out handily.
Physically it is essentially a form of 'powered harmonica' or 'accordion', at least as far as how its innards work to produce the music, also kinda the function of the buttons on its LH end which are used to provide 'chordal accompaniment' to a 'solo' melody played on the keys themselves. similar to those on an accordion.
Little electric organs like it were quite popular in the days shortly before fully electronic "keyboards" became available, nearly all of which offered a wider variety of tonal resources and automatic functions. I'm not certain why so many of them seem to have been made in Italy...?
