This was handed down to me through family, but we can't figure out what the statue is depicting. We are guessing Roman soldiers on horseback attacking perhaps a Greek? The only label on the bottom of the marble is a stamp of AGI Artisans Guild International - but I can't find much from them apart from their Egyptian statues on Ebay. If anyone can help identify this piece/artist, we would be eternally grateful!

Try "After Theodore Gechter (1796-1844)"...his pieces look similar.. has a lot of versions with different characters..
