Grandad's Tea set he bought for my Man when he was in the merchant navy approx. 1925

This tea set was a wedding gift to my grandmother from my grandad who bought it whilst on active service in the merchant navy, approx 1925. He sailed between Japan and china. We don't know where it's from. There are quite a few pieces. Any clues?
