    This is what I think is a Early American porcelain type cup.....they didn't have the saucer, so that was a downer....(sad face)....but this cup is in great condition and has a date of 1754 on the bottom in gold....maybe that a indication of its age......I know very little about Early American pottery/ceramics etc.....so if someone knows ...please feel fr to share your thoughts.....Thanks!

      I think that may be a pattern or shape number, not a date. Probably a blank which was decorated by hand. A very popular pastime with women in the early 20th century. Blanks came from all over, mostly Japan I believe, but as yours has the stroke through the 7, it may be French in origin
