Both mortar and Pestle are 3ft tall with heavy iron? straps bands bands. Bottom of base has two holes where it may have been attached to floor. Don’t know country/origin, where it was used, perhaps a aboard a ship or mill?

This size is common or was years ago. Used mostly for crushing grains. You may have a good investment there.
