Hello I was wondering if someone could help me date these books there is no date in these books they are 878 of 1000 30 book set Charles Dickens New York Chicago e r Dumont 878 of 1000 limited edition thank you so much cannot find a date on them thank you very much

It is a subscription set. These were popular publications in the late 19th/ early 20th century.
Buyer would pay monthly and get a book-- in 2.5 years he had all of Dickens work on his bookshelf.
A search of the publisher ("e.r. dumont publisher") would probably narrow the years.
Looks to be a nice set, in good shape, but they usually don't bring much money.
