Hi everyone, i have done the e-bay and google thing to try and find out what this is? it appears to big to be a pendant for a necklace, and the wrong make up for a bracelet, i have seen similar items called a chatelaine but they seem to be made up of magnifying glasses and scissors etc? it is so beautiful and the pieces are really small, i also have a chunky gold chain which i think belongs to it? any ideas anyone?

Could it be someone's collection of watch fobs? Victorian?

Hi Shropshirelass, You need a watch guy to eliminate the possibility. Hopefully someone will jump in on CW. Still think Victorian...aren't those guys delicate to feminine? Hee Hee. Good Luck!

Great Piece! I agree with those above that this piece is Victorian. I believe it is a sort of Chatelaine that could be attaced either to a chain or brooch. It is doubtful that a man would wear such an ornamental piece on his watch chain, but you never know. This looks like one made up of momentos and souvenirs. There are 4 fobs with Essex Crystal, and these are very desirable, especially the 2 on the left, with the unique shapes (green 4 leaf clover and the studded geometric one). The brown cut stone on the far left looks like a quartz of some kind. My guess, since the fobs are like amulets or talismans, is that this piece was worn somewhere near the waist where it would be accessible to the hand to touch/hold them. Well made and totally unique! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Vintageglove, i did think they were a bit feminine and delicate for a male wearer?? i didn't even know about "Essex Crystal" it really is very beautiful, and unfortunately not mine but a friend who had lost his parents and these were left to him, he had to travel back to Australia leaving me to disperse of them for him, all of the belongings have been picked up by the auctioneer today so i sadly waved them good bye however i have had much appreciation researching such wonderful items all in one place, they blew me away, Victorians had the most beautiful belongings! quality through and through, so thank you everyone! :)
