I own a beautiful set of tables ( this, coffee, and end table) They all have marble and are hand-painted. I believe it to be old. Very heavy. There are 3 drawers and 2 doors on this table. I cannot even find anything similar to this. I hope someone can tell me what I have. Much thanks. There are no names, dates, or other identifying marks.

That was a great thought. I just did a quick search, no such luck. It sits about the same height as the end-table. I'm sorry the photo is sideways. I am going crazy trying to figure it out. It's part of a set. thank you for helping

Absolutely beautiful piece, perhaps a desk in French Provincial style. Good luck in your quest, hope someone here will know for sure

I think I have a lead. Might be a "Venetian style side-step table". I'm not too sure what exactly a "side-step" table is. I love this website. I would still love everyone's expert opinions.

I don’t see a lot of age on this. What makes you say it is “old”— what does old mean to you?

Some photos of the back, bottom and drawer joints would be helpful in dating it.

That's a very good question Scottvez. I really do not know it is "old" per se, I watch Antique Roadshow all the time. It has all the normal signs of not being "new". The wood is interlocking, no use of screws and bolts very wonderful craftsmanship. Similar to my Widdicombe. I have looked underneath on all 3 pieces. The only marks are numbers circled, each piece has either a 1 or 2. I assume to identify which piece goes together. No brand names, signatures, or identifying marks. the marble is thick and very heavy. It is something my husband bought me and I just want to know what I have. I will take a photo of the large table and back. It's hand-painted. It goes with my tapestry ( which I also do not know where it comes from) I'll post more, please look and see if you have any more thoughts. thank you.
