TAXI DRIVER'S 'BIBLE'

In the days (not all that long ago...) before GPS devices and online rideshare services, there were these things called TAXICABS -- maybe you've heard of 'em. ;-) ;-) Little pocket sized paperback books like this one, called 'taxi bibles', were how good drivers found their way to places they might not have been before. Published by the taxi companies, the book is listings of street names and 'how to get to them' (by brief directionals) and mileage tables between towns, in various alphabetical lists. This one shows the evidence of its past usage and is reportedly ca.2015, it is not dated itself but I trust the word of the (now former) cab driver who gave it to me.
