Very cool hammered copper cookware mystery

We recently purchased this set. The gentleman we purchased them from is in his 70’s. He had inherited them from his aunt who passed away at 93. He said he thought she told him she had gotten them in France. There are no markings anywhere on them … no stamps, no numbers. We are trying to figure out how old they may be and who made them. The handles are brass and they weigh a ton!!! Anyone have any ideas? We are just curious! We love them! Thanks!
