    Hello I have this large Pearl and thought I would post it as I am wondering how old it is , what type it is, and it looks like it was set in gold .I have not got a matching one, and seems a bit big for earrings. So just hoping for a clue or something.

      It's a pearl. Looks like it cultured. take it to a jeweler to see what the center is. The nacre looks like it's covering a plastic bead. IMPOSSIBLE to tell here. Stick a hot pin in the bottom and smell it.
