Can anyone tell me who the sculptor of this pipe was, and around when it was available? I know it’s adapted from the famous painting “The Runaway Slaves” by Richard Ansdell.

Finest Meershaum (spelling) type of pipe I have seen in years. I always wanted to collect them also but had so many other interests also. Wow.

If it is not signed or monogrammed, it will probably be very difficult to attribute to a specific artist. Post 1861, of course.
