African Artwork Carved Wood Maasai Hunter 1977 Joesph Holston Print In Antique Frame

The small statues are made from the hardest wood I’ve ever seen that a relative brought back from Africa in the 1930’s.Each came from a different village. I don’t know how old the 26” tall Maasai hunter is that’s carved from a different kind of wood.My wife bought this at a Native American flea market outside of Mobile Alabama in 1987.She’s Creek Indian and this flea market sold indigenous artwork,jewelry,clothing and rolls of fabric from the local tribes that were mainly Creek,Choctaw,Chickasaw,Seminole and Cherokee. Several years later she found a 1977 Joesph Holston lithograph called “Mother In Thought” to go with the statues.There was a lumber yard in Atmore that sold reclaimed wood from 19th century southern mansions.She bought several pieces of what looks like antique crown molding she took to a art store who made this frame.Thanks for looking.
