I bought this lamp at a yard sale years ago. This is the only photo I have at this time. It was very dirty and all that was there when I bought it was the base. I have since rewired it and use it. I have no idea what the globe should look like. This one is the closest fit I could find. I have since frosted the glass because it was too bright. Can anyone give me information on it? I think the birds are cranes, but I am not sure. I do not remember seeing any markings of any kind when I was fixing it up. I believe it is an Art Deco lamp but that is about all I know about it. Thanks in advance for any help.
Often you find lamps like this on ebay and if you know ebay the offerings change week to week or almost every day on some items such as lamps. With it changing daily, so much info is lost with things being deleted as fast as new ones come in. The shades change on this one but there are a number of shades. Some are millifiori glass shades and some are with a silky look to the shade with different light abilities. There are a number of lamps looking like this one in shapes but overall they usually had figurals of people and or animals. Your shade is roundish but apart from that, not the right shade at all. On the upper right you see a space that says "Post an item". LIKE I SAID, SOME PEOPLE leave their items up and some remove them when they feel like it. A better idea may be to search the web for art deco stores, in Paris and N. America, which sell a large number of these type of lamps every year !~
