I have been trying to open this watch to show some buyers the back but am having no luck at all can anyone help me with this dilema

This is the best advice you can get..if you don't know, don't do it! There are 3 types of cases.. (1) screw on (2) hinged (3) snap on back.
If you mess up a screw on case, you have devalued your watch.
Call around and find a jewelry store, antique store or pawn shop that deals in pocket watches. They will most likely open it for free. Once open, you will know how to close it safely.
I did this recently with a pocket watch I aquired..they didn't charge me a dime.
