Mom's Collection: Chushingura The Revenge of the 47 Ronin - Act 2 "Cutting a Pine Branch" by Utagawa Hiroshige, (1797 - 1858.) Block print on paper, Chuban yoko-e (21.3 x 15.5 cm.) The print is mounted on a paper backing, (46 x 33.5 cm.) This backing has a certification stamp, a brief description, and is water stained. Fortunately, the moisture did not reach the print. The certification, and info strip are short on verification. Looking for production date, and place of origin. Your assistance is appreciated.
