Does anybody know anything about helmets? Got this one out of yard sale to me. It seems real. Does anybody know how to tell the difference of real and fake? Thank you in advance

Looks like a repro WWI British or American helmet. The inside webbing looks wrong for an original.
I agree.. Webbing would be marked if U.S.when looking at items like this..think of the era and what materials were used. Search images (not ebay) from known real helmets and compare.
See this example..notice the inside of the helmet has marks in the steel.
