ANTIQUE 6 BOARD 2 DRAWER BLANKET CHEST

I found this after my neighbors cleaned out a house nearby. It was sitting on a trailer half covered with a tarp in the middle of winter. They said I could have anything on the trailer, so, not being too stupid, I grabbed it along with a few other things!! It was filled with old family items, (some WWI items) , the drawers were swelled shut so it took a few weeks to dry it out enough to open them. One had pictures and papers in it, and the other one had a lot of old cap guns, mostly well used, broken and flaking and pitting from the moisture. the chest is almost 2 feet across the top and was ox blood red at one time, with dovetailed corners and what someone told me was a butterfly lock (that I happened to find a key for!!)
