I have had this radio for a year and I finally got it all restored. It is RCA's top of the line console for 1937.
It has 16 tubes and electric tuning and seven bands. It probably the largest and heaviest radio I own.
It took a lot of time to go through the chassis and get everything working, although the gears for the electric tuning are worn and the dial won't stop exactly where it should. It sound is very good and the cabinet is huge It was designed by RCA's top designer John Vassos.
The other radios that rival this one are the Zenith Stratosphere and some of the Scott radios.
I only wish I could put more photos on this site./
