The Hamburger Club of Chicago 1908-1909 Calander of Events on an aluminum attachment for use on every table. The “Hamburger Club” meaning for people from the City of Hamburg of which there must have been a fair number of whom settled in the Chicago area. The small castle at the upper left is the same castle that is on all the City coins of Hamburg. The club must have held their events at the Schoenhofen's Halle which was at the intersection of Milwaukee and Ashland Aves. The list of events indicates that the club was a jovial bunch with almost monthly get togethers involving music and dancing. They had a Founders Fest in October. Chrismas Fest in December. May Fest in May and a picnic in June at Harms Park on Western and Berteau Aves. Readers from Chicago may recognize the street names.
