Hello everyone!!
I recently came across this 1920's cast iron parrot doorstop. Though Hubley made one and cataloged theirs as #180 Polly Parrot, this one is made by an unknown foundry and numbered theirs "35" near the bottom of the base on the backside. This one was also marketed as “Cockatoo On Perch”.. To find one with 95% of its original paint, such as this one, is a very rare instance. I have a couple more of these, but that last one I found had suffered extreme paint loss. Both of these are pictured together in pic #4. These measure 8 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" wide. They each weigh 3lbs 9oz.
Thanks very much for taking the time to stop in for a look!!!
