I’m trying to find out about this chair can anyone tell me anything!? I acquired it in 1986 in an abandoned storage. It is very well made, very solid heavy wood. The seat was tapestry and in very bad shape, so I fixed it myself with fabric and made a matching back cushion. I have been searching rocking chairs and have not found anything even close to this one. There’s no date or markings of any kind. The screws are large round metal. So I don’t think it’s that old. If any can help I truly would appreciate!! Thank you in advance

Rockers now have the lowest value and even at auctions you see rock bottom prices. The best place to look is probably the library where if they have a history dept. they keep track of old ads and articles on makers in your area. There were no makers of this style as it is poor design in my eyes. I had some fine antique rockers but got very little money for them as they are the lowest price now. Prices on furniture now is very low, especially rockers. There is no style associated with this style of your rocker, Furniture makers often put their own spin on furniture which is why there are so many different ones around.
thank you so much for the comment and information. I decided to donate this after a lot of nowhere research plus it really wasn't in the greatest of shape. It was time to give it a new home.
