Hello everyone!!
Back to my match holders. This one is from the late 1800's to very early 1900's. It's gilded and depicts what appears to be a 17th century gentleman leaning against a grain sack. The basket, of course, holds the matches and the base serves as the striker plate. It's well detailed and I believe I believe it's made of spelter. It stands 5 1/4" tall and 4 1/4" wide.
Thanks very much for taking the time to stop in for a look!

If at all possible I need a signed one also so finding some with a signature I always try to buy as I know you do too!~
Phil,
Thanks! I always try to find items with a signature, but match holders were rarely signed by the maker. Many of my items are signed, just not the match holders, or at least the ones made here on USA soil.
