I got this Crown Central Petroleum calendar with thermometer at an auction. It is made of steel and measures 49 by 21Cm. When I obtained this item, there were no calendar pages on it, and my friend made up the visible calendar pages. Doing research on the device, I found that each calendar originally featured 4 pages with 3 months on each page.
Under the last page seen on calendar's body itself was a notation that one could obtain pages for ensuing years by contacting the company. I doubt if Crown still would supply the pages, but it couldn't hurt to ask :)
I'm sure that this item was issued in 1964 and/or later, as it has a zip code in its contact info. 1964 was when zip codes were first introduced.
And, the thermometer does work accurately.
