This is an example of a retired, 1950s ONE WAY arrow sign that originally came from Brooklyn, New York. It existed at the corner of Avenue X and Shell Road in the Gravesend neighborhood. Once mounted to a pillar that supports an el, the sign is considerably in rough condition and was a survivor for years after its installation. I rescued the sign after the NYCDOT subsequently removed it between 2013 and 2014. The pictures attached here show how it appeared in service. As a collector for just over fifteen years, this find is one of my favorite acquisitions I stumbled upon along my journey.

Great piece of history. Keep all that information together.
