Firstly , for those who don't know, the chassis is by Arthur Atwater-Kent. so it isn't two different people who made the model 55.

Model 55 doesn't mean a great deal , as, that particular chassis was but in a variety of builders boxes. Mine happens to be in this highboy. Still, it is a joy , to have something this old and looking half its age. Signed with the red atwater kent labels on the chassis and the speaker.

By the way.. ..The larger sculpture on top , is by, Serie Valentino by Miriam. A lovely piece, on its own.

By the way, the faceplate containing the knobs and dial, is actually metal fastened to the free floating chassis. A brown thin veneer is glued to match up with the woodwork of this builders high boy frame.
The speaker is not fastened inside, but rather is on a hanger. Arthur definitely did things his way. Ahah ha
