Faintly monogrammed and dated 'I C 1938' and titled 'Trixy', this is an oil on panel depicting a Cairn Terrier (possibly the artist's dog) waiting for its ball to be thrown. On the back is another landscape painting by the same artist which may have been painted in the same area since the portrait seems to have been painted outside with some water present. The artist truly captured the character of the dog. It measures 9.5” x 13.5." From the UK.
