Acton Bottle Opener and Cap Catcher
Aww the perks of owning an Etsy store, is I get to pick and choose what goes into my collection.
The box is rough, but still decent. There is not much information about Acton mfg co inc. They were in business in the 1940s-1950s as far as I can find. They also are associated with Ackbilt. They did produce a lot of Coca-Cola coolers and openers. They were based in Arkansas City, Kansas.

Hey Dave
Very cool item! Good 4 U about your Etsy shop, I wanted to sell online but google screwed up my gmail acct so could not get seller notifications. Did OK though, found a couple local buyers for most everything, just saved my fave Swedish WWF glass animals that I really love (just in time before the tariffs, I stopped ordering international since those)
Hi Jenni. Thanks for the comments. We've been in business a long time and are 5 star sellers. We don't take a wage, just put it back into the business. It's getting tougher and tougher to find quality stuff. Lot of people are supplementing their incomes by selling. This drives prices up and makes inventory scarce. It's scary what people asking for their items. They have no idea how to price things properly and just throw numbers out there then get discouraged when things don't sell
Dave,
I always felt selling online would be tough, so competitive & as you said, people over-pricing their items to where it gets ridiculous. My husband & I are retired, as you see from my posts I had alot of stuff, we basically just wanted to unload it at a fair price & found a couple antique shops locally that treated us well. Good luck with your business, it must be a lot of hard work but am sure it is rewarding, wishing you
All the best, Jenni
