These shelves had to come out of the grandmother's house the other day due to some recent renovation. My late grandfather made them out of an old 3/4" plywood sign, an official looking one out of a weigh station or something (he worked in the Philadelphia shipyard at one point, which makes sense because the weights referenced on the sign are 50,000 lb!), and were used around the house for god knows how long. If you look at the right half, you can see some of the letting reflecting light a little differently!
Anyway, I almost threw these out, but I'm really happy I didn't since they were perfect for some of my larger toys. There are a few things I didn't post on CW yet. A Marx turnover tank, some Wyandotte planes, and the little blue and red cannon. You can see some of my miscellaneous non-Barclay soldiers on the shelf above too.
