This picture was from an old house in Fall River, Massachusetts. It was built to house Mill workers and then in 1902 after the mills had closed it became a baby clinic. It also offered citizenship classes, and had one of the first libraries in the city( on one floor) In 1922, it became a preschool and is still a preschool today. I also have a circa 1875 aquarium from the same building. The picture measures about 20 1/4 by 46 1/2" . The inner measurement of the picture is 18 by 44 1/2. It is separted inot three sections by a black line or maybe the picture was cut out of something and put in a frame??? I haven't taken it out , it is hard to tell if the line is drawn on the picture. It is all nursery rhymes, some I have never even heard of before. The colors are yellow, green , blue, black, and grey. It is pen and ink. It has lots of fine details and it is covered with artwork. Pictures do not do it justice. I think it looks pre 1940, just by the way the characters are drawn, looks like old cartoon character type artwork. I love to look at all the fine details, must have taken a long time to do this. Not sure if it is original or print. My dad attended preschool there in the 30's but doesn't remember this picture being displayed. I did put to screws in the back to add wire to hang it but all the back is original, all wood I believe. Any info anyone could give me would be appreciated. I know a lot of the history of the building but nothing about this piece of artwork. I have never seen any nursery rhyme picture with so much detail and so many nursery rhymes, it really seems to be a unique piece!

As soon as I saw this I thought "Jo Mora" He had several prints in a similar vein. Here is a link to one of them: http://www.yosemite.ca.us/library/maps/jo_mora/ If you go to Google Images and search for Jo Mora you will see a lot more.

Still thinking about your beautiful poster. Jaro Hess is a possibility.

See the comment I made at your J.W. Fiske terrarium.

(New comment--No... turned out I didn't make a comment at your J.W. Fiske terrarium.) The comment is about this Picture so I'll make it here:
I love this picture and have been looking on Google images for eight years, trying to track it down. If you have tracked it down or know anything more about it PLEASE let me know. Is it by Jaro Hess? I've searched and found absolutely nothing. The pictures are so blurry. I would love to get a copy of it but as far as I can tell--it's the only copy ever to come up on the internet. (No, I am not trying to buy it from you--that's against the CW rules!
      Thanks, Guy Mannering

Hi, I never figured out if it was Jaro Hess or not! Never found another like it on the internet.

I don’t know if I’m too late to this post but the artist is Luxor Price. The piece is called The All Mother Goose Panorama. My parents had this piece and as a little girl I could look at this for hours on end. There is plenty of information on Luxor Price. I hope this helps the original owner. I don’t know anything else about this piece.

Hi Libertyship! Another viewer called stamprnut identified your poster: She says "the artist is Luxor Price. The piece is called The All Mother Goose Panorama. My parents had this piece and as a little girl I could look at this for hours on end.
This site thinks that they have the only known copy!
