I agree with Dr. Al; if I buy Imperial I don't buy carnival; but their FreeHand line is so "all over the place" with quality and finish that good ones are hard to find. Here is a good one! The design is of course familiar - Tiffany, Quezal and Durand all had their own versions of "heart & vine" or "leaf & vine", but Imperial put their own twist on it, of course. Up next to a Quezal golden H&V vase (my next posting) you notice immediately that the IFH is more orange than golden, and this might be due to the white base-color glass (almost "milk-glass"). This is a tall (11") piece for Imperial, and I love the simple, elegant shape. The dark-band on the rim and the white glass nail it down as Imperial, although this is the only large "Heart & Vine" Imperial FreeHand vase I have come across. I'm looking for another with alternate coloring (blue & gold?). Enjoy!

I have the same exact vase but with the original Free Hand label on the bottom.

Good to know, thanks! It is always a bit of a risk to buy something without a label or marking, so it's good to really know, even when you think you knew already. Do you know what I mean?
