Here is an old crank telephone that I picked up at a garage sale today. I'm not sure of the age but I know it's old. The bottom of the phone reads
KJOBENHAMS Telefon, which leads me to believe it's from a different country, not sure where though. It also has a key on the back door which doesn't make sense to me, why would you need a key to service the phone? If you phone guys out there have any info please let me know. Thank you!

Your 1908 Danish desk telephone was more then likely manufactured by L.M Ericsson of Sweden for the Copenhagen Telephone Co. with was owned by the Danish Government. The name was later change to Kjobenhavns Telepfon Aktieselskab (KTAS)

Thank you AR8Jason and ttomtucker for the information, it's probably worth the 5 bucks I paid for it then! Thanks!

AR8Jason, that's pretty funny, I actually felt good giving them the full asking price they had on the phone, others would have probably tried to offer like 2 or 3 dollars for it. Lol

Thanks bratjdd, it's definitely hit and miss, probably more miss than hit. I think the interent has made it possible for people to do a little research and figure out what an item is worth more so than ever. I don't know how many times Ive seen
an item at a garage sale with an ebay print-out along side it telling me what it's worth. I always say to the sellers "why don't you sell it on ebay for that price"
