I bought this piece recently but have been unable to identify the maker's mark. It looks like an oak leaf. The vase stands just over 6" tall and has an indent on one side, which my husband claims was a faux pas on the way to the kiln, but I am sure it was intentional. The top is a glossy tenmoku style glaze, whilst the rest is matte finish. I love it whether it was a faux pas or not!

Yes, it is quite heavy, weighing over 1 lb or 1/2 Kilo.

Thanks for the loves everyone. It was a Thrift store find, so I think I lucked out. Just wish I knew it's history. I agree it was done by a professional . I imagine it is very difficult to get glazes to stay in place like that.
